Now more than halfway through my seventh year as a Texan ex-pat living in Massachusetts, I frequently ask myself this question. In this last week with snow on the ground and below-freezing temperatures, I've asked myself quite a few times why I'm here. Not in the summer, though. I really don't mind missing out on the relentless heat. Now if I could just arrange it so we could live in New England in the spring, summer and fall and in Texas in the winter, I'd be all set.
Oh yeah, must be that Steubie grad from Massachusetts that I married who keeps me here.
