So beautiful! Thank you for posting, and for the note on my blog. Sonagrams are the most amazing things - how much you can see.

Many, many congrats! I knew she would be a girl! Since I thought Sophia would be a boy, this brings me up to 50% in baby forecasting.

Congrats!!!! Oh, what a beautiful picture.

So, you guys decided to know before she was born... Ryan and I decided we want to know (we find out next week!), but now I am waffling about it. Maybe I should wait for a surprise in December! I don't know...

hi ashley,
originally we weren't going to find out, even though jon really wanted to know the baby's gender so he could bond better (he was letting me have my wait and willing to wait)...then, since i had gained a lot of weigh initially (and some other possible signs) we wondered if we had two babies so decided to get the ultrasound done and while we're there find out if we're carrying a boy or a girl. Since we found out we were pregnant, we have been calling Clare by a boy's name, Noah! So, all in all, I am very happy to know now so that I can talk to Clare. Also, I am bringing the ultrasound photos to the birthing center so i can refocus whenever i need to during labor about who all of this is for!! The greatest way to begin motherhood is the sacrifice and love of childbirth :) we really can't wait to see and hold her, what a blessing she already is!

childbirth is also a beautiful moment to begin the visible actions of fatherhood (of course, motherhood and fatherhood start as soon as the baby is created, but you know what i mean)..our husbands are going to have to work hard to help their babies out too!! If you choose to find out your baby's gender, i hope you post a photo!
